In its program activities, the Youth Cultural Center includes a regular program activity in the drama field, with particular accent on the support of the amateurism development.

Over the years, the Youth Cultural Center has been a fertile stage for a large number of theater workshops and drama studios, that later on promoted eminent names who are relevant to the development of the Macedonian theater and culture in general.

The continuous support of the new creative waves, fresh and new ideas for theater expression, generated the existing Center for Amateur Theatre that operates within the Youth Cultural Center.

The formation of this type of center resulted from the need of the young, insufficiently promoted artists who, besides their engagement in their theatre projects, want to apply their creative capacities in program - organizing, that makes a consistent part of the center's programs, using the sensibility and aesthetics that is close to them. All this is accompanied by the audience's need to consume contents that are, in a way, close to their way of thinking.
