FILM ACTIVITIES

The Youth Cultural Center art cinema is the only cinema in the country that represents films from the European cinematography. Its annual program is organized in film series dedicated to the European cinematography, portraits of European film authors and other events.

On the initiative of the famous film director Pedro Almodovar and under the leadership of Viviane Reding, member of the European Association, responsible for Education, Culture and Audiovisual media, in the period from 15 to 24 November 2002, for the first time, Europe celebrated its film heritage with the event CinEd@ys Europe 2002.

Participating in this event with specially prepared program, the youth cultural center became a member of The European Commission- Directorate-General for Education and Culture.

In 2004 Youth Cultural Center Art Cinema “FROSINA” was accepted in the association of European cinemas EUROIMAGES.

The first edition of Cinedays that took place in the Youth Cultural Center surprisingly provoked great interest among the young people, the film fans and the foreign organizations and institutions.

Through the program of the Youth Cultural Center, this tradition carried on in the following years as well.

Concentrated in one week, the filmophils of our city have the opportunity to see a selection of the best products of the European cinematography.
