Youth Cultural Centre has a pleasure to invite you to participate in The Fourth edition of “WHITE NIGHT 2008“festival, 27.Sep. 2008, Skopje, Rebublic of Macedonia

 

We are happy to announce that Youth Cultural Center on 27 of September 2008 will organize the fourth edition of cultural event WHITE NIGHT 2008. This event, is financed by the City of Skopje and realized by the Youth Cultural Centre, and has become a traditional manifestation, for the first time realized in October, 2005. Since then WHITE NIGHT has become an important, widely recognized by the audience and citizens, cultural event, marked as significant part of the cultural map of Skopje.

 

WHITE NIGHT is one night festival of art and culture (starting from 18.00 pm until 04.00 am), simultaneously presenting variety of different art projects on several venues within the city, with more than 50 different art projects. For the successful realization of the program WHITE NIGHT uses space facilities of eight cultural institutions founded by the City of Skopje, as well as other cultural institutions and cultural centers in Skopje (national, private and independent). Also WHITE NIGHT takes place on all suitable open public spaces in the center of the city such as City Square “Macedonia”, Quay of the River Vardar, The Old Bazaar, pedestrian zones and others.

WHITE NIGHT provides and presents cultural events for the citizens, tourists and audience different in media, subject, style and theme. The most important criteria of selection of the events participating in the program are the aesthetical values and artistic quality of the submitted project. We provide a variety of cultural and art projects which include social issues, subculture, diversity, alternative art projects, new media art as well as classical ones. Our goal is to provide programs for the audience that differs in age, social groups, life style, from subculture to academic audience, programs that include diversities of expressions and cultural backgrounds.

 

Therefore we invite all cultural institution, organization, independent artist, producers and art groups to submit a project proposal on the application form from 15 of March until 15 of May 2008. It is beneficial to submit additional materials that explain your project idea together with Call for proposal's_form. You will receive a notification not later then the beginning of June whether your project is accepted.
